Financial Security in Retirement - Making Plans Now

July 31st, 2007 at 11:33 am

With all the bad press that pension funds and investments have received over the past decade, I've been torn between paying into a pension fund or taking the initiative myself to plan ahead for financial security in my retirement. One route has lead me to explore investing in the buy-to-let market for longer term income generation, but with the uncertainty of interest rates and the housing market's sustainability, I've struggled to find a solution that sits comfortably with my situation and present income. I've had advice from friends and family, and I've also found useful expert advice about the more flexible type of pension at www.langtons.co.uk/finance/10/Retirement
For me, flexibility was key to making a decision and the information on this site proved useful and the help and advice I received when I contacted them was professional and comprehensive. I hope you find my recommendation useful.
